Sparking my interest in my career field. I was convinced as a high school student that I would be a doctor. I ended up taking Introduction to Occupations with Mr. Farrand my senior year completely by accident and discovered my love for environmental science. I've just earned my Master's degree in Biology/Plant Ecology from Old Dominion University and I am teaching Environmental Biology at our local, Tidewater Community College here in Virginia. Without Mr. Farrand, I never would have discovered my passion. His class taught me about preserving our natural resources and how important education is in regards to this issue. He helped to guide me in the right education/career path for me.
