    2nd Grade Class - 2019
It's hard to believe, but this is my eighteenth year teaching in Franklinville!  After teaching 3rd grade for eight years, then 2nd grade for eight years, I'm so excited to be entering my second year teaching 1st grade!  It is my hope that my students will think of our classroom as their "home away from home."  In addition to our academic curriculum, we spend a lot of time building self-confidence, encouraging our classmates and developing a strong sense of character and kindness.
Franklinville is such a wonderful community to be part of!  My childhood was filled with visits here, as this is where my mom grew up.    I grew up in Lancaster, New York and went on to attend SUNY Brockport and the University of Buffalo.  From UB, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  I then attended Canisius College and graduated with a Master's Degree in Education.  My husband and I now live in Colden with our two children.  Our family enjoys taking trips, spending lots of time outdoors, reading and watching movies.  We also have pets - an energetic puppy named Bodhi, a green parakeet named Avocado and 5 silly chickens!
I'm really looking forward to getting to know another fantastic group of kids this school year!
