SCHOOL BUS STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Going to the bus
- Leave home early enough to give yourself time to meet the bus on time.
- Go directly from home to the bus stop
- Respect other people’s property
- Cross all streets carefully
- No horse play while waiting for the bus
- Loading the bus
- Form a single line
- Do not push or rush
- Take one step at a time
- Use the handrail
- Go directly to your seat
- Riding the bus
- Keep the aisles clear
- Be quiet
- No standing while bus is moving
- Do not touch the emergency doors, windows, or equipment
- Do not put anything out of the windows
- Do not disturb the driver
- Be quiet at railroad crossings
- Also:
No smoking, Do not damage the bus, Keep the bus clean, Watch your language, Keep your hands to yourself, No kissing or displays of affection, etc. on the bus
- Leaving the bus
- Remain seated until the bus stops
- Walk off of the bus – use the handrail
- Move directly away from the bus
- If you cross the street, cross at least 10 feet in front of the bus but wait for the driver’s signal and check traffic yourself
- Go directly to your destination
- Again, respect other people’s property
- Live animals are never permitted on the bus

USE OF ELECTRONICS ON SCHOOL BUS
Safety is of the upmost importance.
Keep this privilege by following these simple rules!
1. Use earphones. (Sound should be off otherwise.)
2. Use the lowest visible brightness.
3. Keep your device. (Do not pass it to others.)
4. Use your device only when sitting.
(No earphones or device use when exiting or entering bus)
5. Phone calls only with bus driver permission.
6. No photographing, videotaping, or voice recording.
