• I am Carmen Wright and I am so excited to be working as a 3rd grade teacher this year!  I have had the privilege of working at Franklinville Central School for the past 16 years in various roles:  parent volunteer, substitute teacher, and full time teacher.  I was a Kindergarten teacher for two years, a Reading and Math Interventionist for four years, and this is my first year as a Third Grade Teacher.  I graduated from Houghton College with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education K-12 and the University at Albany with a Master's Degree in Childhood Education (Literacy).  I have Professional teaching certifications in the following areas: Physical Education K-12, Early Childhood Education Prek-2, and Childhood Education 1-6. I live in Franklinville with my husband, Rick and our two daughters, Carolyn and Sara.  Our daughter Carolyn is a senior at Cornell University and is studying to be a High School Agriculture and Science Teacher.  Our daughter Sara is attending Alfred State College and completing a double major (English & Math) in the Secondary Education transfer program and then will be transferring to Houghton College to become a teacher.  I am looking forward to an AMAZING year and helping my students become AWESOME readers, writers, and mathematicians!!
