Federal Resources for Educational Excellence (FREE)

A group of sites created by the U.S. government in order to help students in school.  Covered topics include art, lhealth and physical education, language arts, math, world studies, and U.S. history.  The site also includes animations, photographs, primary documents, and videos.

This site contains printed maps, photography maps, interactive maps, explorer's maps, and various map and atlas activities.
 
 
Library of Congress Maps Collection
The Library of Congress has digitized a small portion of its massive map collection and made it available online.  The maps are divided into seven categories: general, cities & towns, conservation & environment, discovery & exploration, cultural landscapes, military battles & campaigns, and transportation & communication.
